Tim Weinhart, PGA, of Alpharetta, Ga., has enjoyed a successful career as a professional golfer and has been one of the top teachers of the game in Georgia for more than 20 years.
Born in Rochester, New York, in 1969, Weinhart moved to Atlanta in 1981. He turned professional at the age of 19 and became one of the youngest PGA members in the country to earn the PGA's highest ranking of Class "A" at the age of 23.
Weinhart has played in the PGA Championship five times as well as a U.S. Open. He competed in the PGA Professional National Championship 17 times with three top-10 finishes.
He is one of only four players to win the Georgia PGA Grand Slam - Georgia Open, Georgia PGA Championship, Atlanta Open and Georgia PGA Match Play Championship. Weinhart has more than 20 Georgia PGA tournament victories from 1997-2020.
Weinhart received the Georgia PGA Player of the Year Award a record 10 times from 2002-2019. He earned the Georgia PGA's Gregg Wolff Award a record nine times from 2002-2020, for low stroke average.
From 2011-2015, Weinhart managed the Tim Weinhart Golf Academy at The Standard Club in Johns Creek. In October of 2015, the Tim Weinhart Golf Academy moved to Heritage Golf Links in Tucker, where it remains today. He works with players of all skill levels from beginners to professionals.
